Grant Compliance Manager Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and agency-specific regulations governing grant expenditures.
- Advise leadership and program teams on evolving grant regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records for grant expenditures, reimbursement requests, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor spending against approved grant budgets, ensuring proper allocation and adherence to cost principles.
- Process financial transactions, including invoices, reimbursements, and grant-related journal entries.
- Prepare and submit required financial reports (e.g., SF-425, SF-270) and support external audits.
- Develop and deliver training to internal stakeholders on grant management policies and best practices.
Grant Compliance Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience managing government grants, auditing public funds, or working in a compliance role.
- In-depth knowledge of 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) and DOE-specific grant requirements.
- Familiarity with federal grant systems such as SAM.gov and Grants.gov.
- Strong analytical skills for budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reconciliation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (Oracle preferred).
