Transportation Manager

Responsible for overseeing the coordination of scrap shipments, ensuring efficient transportation, and maintaining clear communication between drivers, customers, and suppliers.

Responsibilities And Requirements For Dispatcher

• Coordinate daily logistics for incoming and outgoing scrap shipments
• Schedule and route trucks for deliveries and pickups
• Communicate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient transportation
• Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding material transport
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Use logistics software to manage dispatch operations
• Experience in logistics, dispatching, or transportation coordination
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to transportation
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Vehicle documentation (registrations, permits, etc)
• Knowledge of DOT (compliance & hauling regulations)
• Strategic ability (cost savings, re-routing, staffing & equipment)
