About the Position

Goodyear has an exciting opportunity to join the AP Global Business Services team. The AP Accountant will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to both internal and external customers. The primary focus for this position is cash forecasting, replying to payment inquiries, and other various duties to support the team. Desired candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve vendor issues ensuring timely and accurate payments. The role also performs month end accounting tasks and reconciliations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assisting in the monthly cash forecasting process
• Maximizing working capital using various payment programs
• Working to resolve vendor issues and ensure timely payments
• Monitoring and correcting all electronic payments that reject
• Various accounting responsibilities, such as month end closing activities and the preparation and review of account reconciliations

Required Education and Experience

• Undergraduate Degree in accounting, finance or other business field.
• 2 years of accounting or related experience

Desired Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products, SAP.
• Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly.
• Ability to support accounting/finance decisions with logical evidence and persuasively present position.
• Familiarity with internal controls in compliance with SOX.
• Good presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
