Transportation Associate

The Transportation Coordinator role will ensure timely and optimal product flow within Gopuff’s Distribution Center (DC) Network. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your Supply Chain knowledge and experience to help shape and optimize Gopuff’s rapidly-expanding DC Network, including but not limited to:

• Inbound Transportation from Vendors to Gopuff DC’s
• Outbound Transportation from Gopuff DC’s to Micro-fulfillment Centers (MFC’s)
• Adhoc Transportation and Network Projects, as needed
  
  

Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders from Distribution Centers, Replenishment Planning, Field Operations, transportation carriers, 3PL warehouse, vendors and other supply chain stakeholders to ensure that Transportation Service and Cost Targets are achieved
• Serve as the primary point-of-contact for Inbound and Outbound Transportation Operations, and coordinate rapid issue resolution with key network stakeholders
• Utilize the Gopuff Transportation Management System (TMS) to build, tender and monitor transportation shipments from pick-up through to delivery
• Execute ad hoc shipments (i.e. promotions, donations, etc.) to support business needs
• Reconcile freight invoices on an ad hoc business to ensure that freight charges are consist with contracted rates
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• Military experience is preferred
• 1-5 Years of Experience in the Supply Chain / Logistics Industry.
• Understanding of U.S. Freight Transportation: Modes, Carriers, Networks, Equipment & Industry
• Proficiency with Google Sheets, MS Excel
• Transportation Management System (TMS) experience and proficiency is preferred
• Solid Written and Verbal Communication Skills Required
• Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, root cause analysis and stakeholder collaboration
