Transportation Associate

Position Overview: The Transport Associate will be responsible for picking up and delivering products from multiple vendors within the state of New Jersey. This role will also move Nova Farms’ products between our different locations. This role requires someone who is comfortable moving large amounts of products with very high value across the state.
Schedule: Variable 8-hour workdays from Monday-Friday, and 1-2 Saturdays per month
Shift time: 7:30 AM to 2:00-6:00 PM (Start/End depend on daily deliveries)
Reports to: West Deptford Manufacturing facility
Status: Full- time (onsite)
Compensation: 17/hr
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport cannabis products between facilities, distribution centers, and retail locations.
- Adhere to all company rules, regulations, and safety protocols during transportation operations.
- Ensure that all cannabis products are securely packaged and properly labeled for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including mileage, delivery schedules, and product inventory.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members to coordinate transportation schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
- Handle cannabis products with care and follow all handling and storage procedures to maintain product quality and integrity.
- Comply with all state and local laws and regulations governing the transportation of cannabis products.
- Assist in loading and unloading cannabis products as needed, ensuring proper handling and storage at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall transportation operations and business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass MVR check and State Cannabis Control Commission background check
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- 2 years’ driving or couriering experience preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (200 pounds with assistance).
