GRSM, a dynamic and nationally recognized law firm, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager in our Walnut Creek Office. Ideal candidates should have five or more years of experience. Candidates should also have excellent customer service, HR expertise, and significant experience in employee relations. The HR Manager will lead the development, implementation and administration of best practices, policies and strategies within HR, providing hands-on operational and strategic leadership to the Firm.
HR Manager will focus on policies, programs, compliance and day-to-day operations and enhance our organizational objectives. HR Manager will provide support and guidance to leaders across the organization, as it relates to HR policies, staff compensation, performance management and resolving employee relations issues. What You Will Do
- Overall HR support of day-to-day operations, recommendations and guidance on current policies, record keeping, employee evaluation processes and act as a strategic partner in staff compensation analysis.
- Candidate must have leadership and technical skills to support the team as we automate and upgrade our processes.
- Serve as trusted advisor to all employees, providing counsel on complex employee relations matters, internal investigations, disciplinary, performance improvement and conflict resolution, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Implement and monitor adherence to HR policies, procedures and practices.
- Provide exceptional customer support to key stakeholders and employees across the organization.
- Collaborate with HR Director and Leadership Team on special projects and implementations.
- 5 years HR leadership experience in high-growth professional services firm with multiple US offices and employees. Law firm experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in HR, Business or Organization Development.
- Extensive experience in managing all employee relations issues, recommendations on counseling notices and leading internal investigations.
- Communicate staff pay structures, advise managers on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budget guidelines. Partner with HR team and Firm Leadership to develop and maintain job descriptions. Conduct research on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
- Knowledge of employment, wage, salary laws and regulations across multiple States.
- Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Decision-making skills and consult/seek approval with senior leaders when necessary.
- Continuous automation and efficiency of HR operations, policies & processes.
- Strong Project Management skills; Proficient in MS Office; Knowledge of ADP a plus.
- Employees are required to work at least 3 days a week in the Walnut Creek office.
