Your Role
As an Energy Solutions Consultant, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between Gorilla’s innovative solutions and our clients’ needs. Leveraging your expertise in project delivery and the US retail energy sector, you will lead the co-creation of bespoke calculation models. Your responsibilities include configuring and refining our platform to ensure that every solution perfectly aligns with customer requirements. Gorilla delivery squads typically work as teams of 3-4 to implement Gorilla’s pricing, forecasting, and billing solutions, most often within a larger digital transformation program run by our customers.
Where and How You’d Work
Headquartered in Antwerp, we also have an office in London and co-working spaces in Austin (US), and Melbourne (ANZ). This is a Remote-First role from within Texas. You have a choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home, or a bit of both, it's up to you.
What You’ll Do
Energy Solutions Expertise:
Work closely with customer business experts, leveraging your deep understanding of pricing, forecasting, and portfolio management to develop tailored calculation models in Gorilla.
Engage with clients from the initial sales phase through project implementation to define requirements, data needs, and algorithms.
Use your knowledge of the US energy market to advocate for Gorilla’s solutions, guiding prospects and clients through our pricing, forecasting, and billing offerings.
Facilitate workshops for customers, translating complex project details into clear, actionable insights for all stakeholders.
Project Delivery & Solution Implementation:
Identify enhancements to our solution, establish a project backlog, and advise the implementation team with clear tasks.
Uphold solution quality through comprehensive test scenario creation to guide the implementation team.
Collaborate with the rest of the implementation team, product team, and solution architects to improve the delivery of Gorillas’ solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Analyze client processes, pricing, and forecasting methodologies to effectively brief our implementation team and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Champion co-creation and teamwork, working closely with colleagues across departments to enhance client success.
What You’ll Need
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Deep understanding of project delivery within the US energy retail industry, focusing on pricing, forecasting, or trading, with involvement in complex delivery projects, multi-stakeholder programs, and system integrations.
Strong knowledge of the energy sector, capable of navigating multiple geographical energy markets while keeping an eye on industry trends and developments.
Analytical and numerical problem solver with a knack for understanding and addressing complex challenges.
Proficient in English, with exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and stakeholders across different regions, as well as occasional travel to our Austin, TX office.
Day in the Life of an Energy Solutions Consultant
Morning:
Start the day by reviewing updates on energy market trends and regulatory changes.
Attend a virtual stand-up meeting with the implementation team to discuss ongoing projects and priorities.
Collaborate with customer business experts to refine calculation model requirements and solution design.
Midday:
Lead a client workshop to define specific data needs and algorithms for their solution.
Work on refining the backlog of project tasks and enhancements based on customer feedback and business priorities.
Afternoon:
Analyze a client’s pricing and forecasting methodologies, preparing detailed briefs for the implementation team.
Collaborate with product managers and solution architects to improve delivery processes.
Wrap up the day by documenting key learnings and planning next steps for upcoming client engagements.
