Engineering Manager
Position Summary
The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, procurement, implementation, and maintenance of all engineering products and services. This role involves formulating and administering engineering policies, procedures, goals, and objectives while ensuring alignment with company-wide strategies. The Engineering Manager will lead engineering initiatives, coordinate cross-functional activities, and participates in product design and development to meet the evolving needs of internal and external clients. Additionally, this position supervises engineering personnel and ensures the efficient and cost-effective utilization of company resources.
Essential ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Engineering Operations
- Collaborate with senior management to define and implement short- and long-term company objectives, goals, and strategies.
- Oversee all engineering functions related to pump design, packaging, and administration.
- Develop and enforce engineering policies and practices to align with organizational objectives.
- Direct the design, development, and integration of new products and technologies.
- Ensure cost-effective, efficient engineering operations within budgetary constraints.
Product & Service Implementation
- Ensure the reliability and efficiency of all engineering systems, facilitating timely maintenance and upgrades.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems to meet business and client requirements.
- Identify and recommend emerging technologies and industry advancements.
- Considers manufacturability, modularity and lifecycle of our products during the design stages
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
- Attend and support professional organization conferences that impact and provide guidance to the pumping industry.
- Coordinate engineering efforts with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Promote customer satisfaction through quality service and effective problem resolution.
- Represent the company positively in professional and trade settings.
Internal Collaboration & Communication
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the engineering team promoting improved speed and quality of engineering output for the company.
- Facilitate effective communication between the engineering team and other departments.
- Ensure that internal staff engineering needs are met with appropriate solutions and documentation.
- Coordinate activities across teams, stakeholders, and committees to optimize engineering support.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of reports, documentation, and project updates.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Provide leadership through goal setting, delegation, and clear communication.
- Conduct regular team meetings to share updates on policies, procedures, and company objectives.
- Mentor, train, and support engineering personnel to enhance their skills and performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve team efficiency.
- Implement corrective actions and professional development plans as necessary.
Safety & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure all engineering personnel adhere to established safety regulations and best practices.
- Develop and oversee safety training programs for engineering staff.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external safety standards.
- Provide support for regulatory inspections and audits as needed.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date safety documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

QualificationsEducation & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Advanced technical degree or MBA preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience.
- Strong managerial and technical background.
- Previous experience in business development or project management is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and company operations.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to organize, coordinate, and drive projects to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software applications
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
