POSITION SUMMARY :
Goshen Community Services (GCS) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Foster Care Case Management Specialist to join our team in Omaha. This full-time position plays a critical role in providing case management services to children and families under the supervision or custody of state agencies. The Foster Care Case Management Specialist is responsible for managing a caseload of youths enrolled in foster care services focusing on ensuring the permanency, safety, and well-being of each child. The FCCMS works closely with foster families, biological families, and other professionals to provide case management and coordinated services while advocating for the best interest of the child.
As a Foster Care Case Management Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising, supporting, and guiding foster parents who care for children with emotional and behavioral challenges. This includes conducting ongoing meetings with foster parents, developing individualized safety plans, and attending necessary care management meetings and court hearings. You will also assess the needs of children and families and provide ongoing support throughout the placement process.
This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work with a diverse population, and a genuine passion for helping children find stability and a loving family environment. As part of the GCS team, you will demonstrate a commitment to connecting children with families and ensuring that family connections are maintained.
