Summary
Responsible for the overall provision, coordination and scheduling of activities and resources necessary for program delivery of Cardiopulmonary Rehab Services (CPRS). Consultation may also be provided in the other patient care centers as indicated. This position will participate in evaluation of the patient, exercise sessions, providing educational support, discharge planning and providing follow-up care within Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab and related programs within CPRS. This position will also be responsible for and assist with, coordination of clinical competencies, Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing, the internship program, program certifications and national data registry.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, or a related field or equivalency.
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, or a related field or equivalency.
Minimal Experience: 3 years’ experience in a clinical healthcare environment providing cardiac and/or pulmonary rehab or equivalency.
Preferred Experience: 4 years’ experience in a healthcare setting, providing cardiac, pulmonary rehabilitation, or equivalents.
Certifications required: AHA BLS within 3 weeks of hire. AHA ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Certifications preferred: Certifications CES, RCEP or equivalent
