Facility Maintenance
I.
BACKGROUND:
High school Diploma or a GED. 5 years’ experience working in maintenance at a medical facility. Knowledge of common safety hazards and universal precautions to establish a safe work environmental.
II.
SKILLS:
Must have background in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and have experience in handling power tools. Maintain and repair machines, mechanical tools, electrical, air-conditioning and heating systems, and buildings. Must be able to understand and carry out safety procedures, especially when handling equipment.
III.
RESPONSIBILITIES:1.
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing rebuilding or replacing faulty or in-operative components and parts.
2.
Evaluate functionality and reliably of facility systems and identify any problems or requirements.
3.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standard procedures and comply with legal codes and regulations.
4.
Will need in-depth knowledge of assembling and setting up machinery or equipment.
5.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications for example.
6.
Order parts and supplies and keep track of inventory.
7.
Turn in any packaging slips and receipts.
8.
All other assigned duties.IV.
JOB FACTORS:Mental Requirements: Must be able to make sound judgement based on assessment and data available and act accordingly. Must be able to be flexible, innovative, and work independently. Must possess good interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize multiple functions or tasks.
Hours: Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including week days, some weekends, evenings, and holidays if needed.
Travel: Some travel between sites is necessary.
