GENERAL SUMMARY:
Process orders by email, phone and fax. Handle all aspects of customer service to include but not limited to, product complaints, invoice discrepancies, order status and expediting, technical questions and account updates and maintenance.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Daily customer order processing and entry
- Maintain customer records
- Inform customers of pricing, ship dates, inventory levels, delays and other additional information as needed
- Learn, understand, and communicate product and policy changes
- Effectively communicate (primarily via email and phone) with customers and sales representatives
- Address customer technical inquiries
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education Required:
- High School Diploma
- Prior CLERICAL (Office) Customer Service Experience a plus
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Computer skills required
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective management of a high volume of emails and orders
- Organization of many orders in different phases of the order to shipment process
- Retention of details and variables related to systems and products
- Flexibility to change directions and priorities if necessary
- Ability to quickly learn new tasks
- Handle multiple tasks and show attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adhere to structured break and lunch schedules due to heavy phone volume
Reasoning Ability:
- Must have deductive reasoning skills
