Position Overview :
Our ideal candidate will be a experienced corporate / commercial lawyer who shares our passion for promoting the growth of renewable energy and can thrive in a fast growing, entrepreneurial environment. The Senior Counsel will serve as a generalist, providing strategic legal support across a wide range of practice areas, including contracts, employment law, real estate, compliance, and more. This role requires a proactive, business-minded legal professional with the ability to navigate complex issues and partner effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Contracts : Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor, supplier, and customer contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
- Employment : Advise on employment matters, including policies, compliance, union and employee relations to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws.
- Property : Oversee real estate matters, including lease agreements, property acquisitions, construction contracts, and related compliance requirements for our manufacturing facility.
- Compliance : Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Risk Management : Identify potential legal risks, provide strategic counsel, and develop solutions to mitigate exposure.
- Corporate Governance : Support corporate governance initiatives, including maintaining corporate records, policies, and regulatory filings.
- Cross-Functional Support : Partner with business units such as HR, Procurement, and Operations to provide legal guidance and support on projects and operational needs.
- Litigation : Manage and oversee any disputes, claims, or litigation matters, including working with external counsel as necessary.
Requirements :
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $200k -$250k, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location.
