Job Summary

The VP of Foodservice and National Accounts for the Retail Channels Licensing Division will oversee all of our Foodservice business which includes National Accounts such as Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Wendy’s, SUBWAY, and Applebee’s. This role will also oversee our C-Store business, College & University business, K-12 business, and all emerging channels. In addition, this role will be responsible for new business development in the Foodservice Channel aligning to our strategies, targets, and key focus areas. Furthermore, this role will also manage, develop, and grow 3 Directors of Foodservice who currently lead the day to day of our business. In this role the VP would be responsible for achieving P&L goals and targets. Finally, this role and team will also work closely with Marketing, Culinary, Legal, and our Strategic Customer Initiative team to deliver on our goals, targets, and objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Strategic Account Management and Business Development (Solution Selling)
    • Optimizes business development solutions to best enhance GoTo Foods market penetration and value.
    • Cultivates and leverages strategic relationships with existing and potential business customers/partners to develop mutually beneficial licensing and product solutions.
    • Oversees sales team’s targeting, generation of leads, value-based presentations, and solution selling to existing and potential customers/partners.
    • Oversees the coordination of sourcing and partnership agreements, terms and pricing negotiations to create win-win solutions that enhance GoTo Foods value, market penetration, and awareness.
    • Collaborates with Legal and other teams to quickly assess and mitigate risks and maximize return of investment to the organization.
  • Channel Management and Execution
    • Provides direction to the Business Development Team to assure effective planning, resourcing, and prioritization to meet objectives.
    • Drives the execution of strategies, sales development, relationship management, account management and best practices implementation to effectively sell the GoTo Foods portfolio into the foodservice channel to strengthen the GoTo Foods overall market penetration and value.
    • Oversees the development, implementation, and management of policies, procedures, practices, and processes to enhance the overall selling approach, cost effectiveness, resources, group performance and brand value and penetration.
    • Participates in Channels’ on-going sales funnel and assessment of opportunities to align efforts, priorities, and resources across the Channels’ organization.
    • Reviews financial info, marketing data, and analytics of the Business Development Team to make adjustments to achieve objectives and gain insights to make recommendations on future innovations and efforts.
    • Performs competitive analysis of the Foodservice Teams efforts against relevant, competitive, industry norms, and markets to assess performance, project volumes/opportunities, best practices, and enhance team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Builds and Directs a High Functioning Team
    • Holds team accountable for conducting business in a legal and ethical manner while complying with policies, laws, and regulations related to business and employment.
    • Attracts, retains, and develops highly effective professionals and support staff.
    • Drives the establishment of performance goals and provides on-going feedback, coaching, and development to enhance the team’s performance and capability, to facilitate open communication, and to encourage continuous performance improvement.
    • Identifies individual and team skill gaps, developmental areas, and opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, projects, etc.) to advance individual and team capability.
    • Oversees people processes and programs across the team to ensure talent for current and future needs by providing functional and technical leadership.
    • Recognizes initiative, innovation, and work well done to create an environment of excellence.
  • Strategy Development and Alignment
    • Serves on the Channel’s senior leadership team and participates in the development of Channel’s plans and strategic objectives.
    • Translates long range Channels’ plan into specific objectives and priorities for the Foodservice Team.
    • Develops annual business development (sales) objectives, sales plans and targets to secure value enhancing licensed partnerships that align and drive the overall value of the GoTo Foods portfolio of businesses.
    • Champions GoTo Foods with internal and external stakeholders (Franchisees, Investors, Partners, and Customers), builds trust and advances understanding and support for the added value created by strategically licensing and partnering in multiple channels and sub-channels.
  • Project Management and On-going Account Management
    • Accountable for the management of critical projects to ensure the timely completion within the established scope, cost, and quality standards.
    • Directs the day-to-day account management of existing partnerships to ensure proper account set up, wiring, and responsible for ensuring our CRM tool is populated.
    • Oversees partner and end consumer/customer issues to ensure satisfactory resolution and to identify trends to prevent future issues.
Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field , Req
  • Master's Degree, Pref

Work Experience

  • 15 years of overall Foodservice leadership experience, Req
  • 10 years of National Account HQ call point experience. , Req
  • 8 years managerial experience, Req
  • 10 years of experience dealing with Foodservice Purchasing Co-ops, Req
  • Proficiency in building Franchisee Relationships with large FS National Accounts, Req
  • Expertise and high-level proficiency in securing New Business Development via value-based solution selling, Req
