Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and acro and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students of all ages. As a Dance Instructor, you will play a crucial role in developing students' skills, confidence, and love for dance while providing exceptional customer support and service. We also seek someone who can also cover front desk hours and provide administrative support to the owner in recital and show preparation and studio events.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging dance classes for students of different skill levels and ages.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students while ensuring progression in their dance abilities.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students to enhance their performance and confidence.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes creativity and self-expression.
- Manage class schedules, attendance, and student progress records using computer systems.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding class expectations, progress, and any concerns.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records using Google, Outlook, Word and Canva
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to create special events, performances, or workshops that showcase student talent.
Experience
- Previous experience as a dance instructor is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with students and parents.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including familiarity with Google, Word and basic data entry tasks. Canva knowledge is a big plus!
- Excellent time management skills to effectively balance teaching responsibilities with administrative duties.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week

Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- dance teaching: 2 years (Preferred)
