Summary
Senior Software Tester will test Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, write test plans, test descriptions, and test reports. The Senior Software Tester will also work with design engineers, and software and hardware engineers on multiple tasks in support of PSIM software operations.
Job Duties
• Test Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive testing strategies aligned with project requirements, considering different testing types (functional, performance, regression, etc.).
• Team Management: Build, lead, and motivate a team of software testers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
• Test Plan Creation: Develop detailed test plans outlining test objectives, scope, test cases, and execution timelines.
• Defect Management: Track and manage identified defects, ensuring proper communication with development teams for timely resolution.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks within the testing process and implement mitigation strategies
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate clear and concise testing reports, analyzing test results to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing goals and timelines
• Quality Assurance: Promote a culture of quality within the testing team, ensuring
adherence to testing standards
Qualifications
• Software Testing Expertise: Deep understanding of software testing methodologies (3-
5 years)
• Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and guide a testing team, fostering collaboration and problem-solving (1-2 years)
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze test results, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and
testing frameworks
• Active Secret Government Clearance Level or Higher
