About the Job
We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a Testing Center Proctor at Governors State University. This role is responsible for proctoring professional testing for GovState and the community, both in-person and online.
Key Responsibilities
- Proctor exams for all testing center platforms, ensuring compliance with relevant university and testing platforms policies, regulations, guidelines, and standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of test results, recommendations, and security of testing materials.
- Provide office support and clerical services for the department, including routing phone calls, scheduling exam appointments, updating calendar, maintaining filing systems, responding to email communications, and entering exams into examination platforms.
- Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community members regarding the policies and rules of the Testing Center.
- Coordinate with related departments for standardized group and/or individual test administration, academic and nonacademic professional testing, and testing services for accommodation needs.
- Provide training and oversee student staff for the Testing Center as needed.
- Represent the School of Extended Learning and Testing Center at various meetings, open houses, orientations, and to the public.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in test administration methods and techniques, or a combination of coursework and work experience that totals three years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs and testing service platforms, including Pearson Vue, PSI, and Prometric.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to represent Governors State University professionally with the community, students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience working with students with disabilities and accommodations.
