About the position. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible to work with various internal customers to produce detailed project schedules and related reports. Works directly with management to ensure an accurate flow of information as it related to projects schedules. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review and understand Contract requirements for schedule and establish criteria for schedule development (schedule detail, work breakdown structure, etc.).
- Develops and updates summary level as well as detailed schedules.
- Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
- Develops realistic activity durations based on production rates and available manpower based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
- Assigns resources (cost, labor, or material) to activities and develops cash flow reports.
- Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences.
- Identifies schedule changes and trends.
- Suggests corrective actions and/or develops recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.
- Prepares time and cost delay claims.
- Develop pre-award proposal/bid schedules.
- Perform schedule analysis for change orders and claims.
- Assist in claims preparation and analysis.
- Develop and implement scheduling procedures.
What you need. To be a hero in this organization, the Scheduler will have:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing baseline schedules, maintaining progress schedules, and coordinating detailed schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar education or experience preferred.
- Sound knowledge of scheduling systems, principles, and practices required.
- MS Project or Primavera experience is required. MS Project experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of business software using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication, organizational and task management skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
