About the Role

Govplace has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Support Representative. This is an entry level position focused on learning the Govplace quoting and CRM tools, managing Bid Desk territory, and providing overflow support to the current sales and inside sales teams. The Sales Support Representatives will respond to federal agencies RFQ’s on contract bid boards such as GSA, SEWP, and CIO-CS. They will support Account Executives with guidance from an Account Manager. They will become familiar with federal procurement and agency missions and objectives.( Remote work is accepted for this position.)

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue and gross profit by implementing Govplace’s sales strategy.
  • Prospect, qualify, and build new business opportunities for the Bid Desk territory pipeline including setting appointments, generating quotes, and closing opportunities.
  • Increase quoting velocity, bid response rate and win percentage within Bid Desk territory.
  • Ensure that proposed RFP / RFQ / RFI / MRR solicitation responses are prepared and submitted in strict accordance with RFQ requirements, BOM’s, and contractual provisions.
  • Manage inbound leads for Bid Desk by qualifying, thinking of creative solutions, and engaging OEM partners while establishing and building those relationships.
  • Establish goals and objectives, and the measurement and monitoring processes necessary to determine their actual progress and completion.
  • Provide on-going feedback and analytics to Bid Desk program and policies.
  • Obtains and maintains HW / SW manufacturer certifications needed to support account growth.
  • Collaborate and work creatively and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proactively self-assess efficiency and accuracy of work being performed and recommend modifications to systems and procedures in an effort to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Other duties and / or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, effective time management skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Has experience working with Microsoft, Excel, and quoting systems tools.
  • Maintains OEM Certifications needed to support account growth.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Great to Have

  • Experience working with all Microsoft tools with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Prior experience working with the Federal Government.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
  • Goal oriented individual with aspirations to grow into inside / outside sales roles.
