Shipping and Receiving Associate

Currently, Goyette Mechanical Company has an immediate opening for a Shipping and Receiving Associate in our Construction Department in the greater Columbus, OH area. Loading and unloading trucks, light warehouse/building maintenance and repair, housekeeping, and coordinating shipping and receiving.

Job Description:

• Work in the warehouse and manage shipping/receiving with tasks such as preparing products for shipment through fabricating or repairing skids, and safely and securely banding and protecting product.
• Knowledge of safe and proper load securing techniques is required.
• Maintaining of inventory.
• Cleaning and light maintenance of the trucks and trailers, chains, straps, tie downs, etc.
• Properly operate and regularly maintain the tools and equipment of the trade. Identify current and future truck tooling and equipment requirements.
• Verify, process, and file warranty claims.

Position Physical Demands:

• Moving (loading, unloading, carrying, etc.) parts requires the ability to lift up to 100lbs.
• Exposure to extreme heat or cold varies by season. Personal protection is required.

Skills and Experience:

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to be covered on Company insurance policy
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Should be comfortable with email, printing, and scanning.
• Understand basic inventory suppport and delivery procedures.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
