What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gunstock Finisher (Night Shift) position at GP&C?
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Gunstock Finisher, you will be responsible for all finishing work associated with each configuration of gunstock.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Deflash, deburr and sand gunstock
· Bead blast
· Clean and change media in bead blast station
· Mix and apply filler material
· Drill and tap
· Label stocks for shipping
· Sweep and Mop floors as required
· Labor in/out and close material to stock using data collect
· Maintain 5S standards
· Perform necessary preventative maintenance on equipment
· Work closely with other departments to determine priorities
· Follow all work procedures for the area
· Comply with all safety and company policies
QUALIFITCATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
· No experience required
· High school diploma or GED
· Basic computer skills
· Read and speak English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Must be able to wear all required PPE
· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
· Must be able to work in both hot and cold conditions
· Must be able to work around different types of resins and composite materials
Must be able to work around chemicals and solvens such as acetone, releasing agents and various cleaning supplies
