We are working with a respected firm in the area seeking an experienced Creditor's Rights Attorney to join their team and contribute to their commitment to excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Represent creditors in foreclosure, bankruptcy, collections, and related litigation matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence for state and federal courts.
- Duties include litigation from case commencement through post-judgment execution and recovery of assets.
- Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials as necessary.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, statutes, directives, regulations, policies, and court decisions to reach legal goals and to provide the best outcome for the firm clients, while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality legal work.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Ohio (additional states a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in creditor's rights, foreclosure, or commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state laws regarding creditor's rights, collections, and bankruptcy.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
