Position Summary :
The Director of Maintenance will have a broad knowledge and through understanding of the aviation industry and the FAA regulations; ensure compliance with part 145 air carrier certificates, company policies, and federal regulations. The classification of this position is broad and assigned specific functional areas; duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department.
Key Responsibilities :
The Director of Maintenance will have a broad knowledge and through understanding of the aviation industry and the FAA regulations; ensure compliance with FAR / FAA Part 145 air carrier certificates, company policies, and federal regulations. The classification of this position is broad and assigned specific functional areas; duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department.
- Coperate jet / biuisness jet experience preferred
- Review and assess project work scopes to assist in part procurement
- Aircraft management, Teambuilding, Supervision
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders or reports
- Maintain clean work area
- Staff Development and Training Technical Support
- Project Management to include Gantt Charts / IMS (or applicable scheduling software) and Change Order Documents as required to maintain schedule
- Ability to Inspect aircraft, wiring installations, assemblies and circuits
- Ability to Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment is a plus
- Ability and knowledge to perform avionic system installations / modifications and train others
- Able to Troubleshoot and Correct defects in accordance with established processes
