We are currently partnered with an electrical contractor that is looking to add an Electrical Superintendent to their team. Superintendent electrician manages the labor, materials, and production of one or more projects. This job description does not limit management's ability to assign additional tasks. Tasks (Day to day work activities)
- Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
- Read specifications such as blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures.
- Estimate and order material and evaluate worker requirements to complete jobs.
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers.
- Confer with managerial and technical personnel, other departments, and contractors in order to resolve problems and to coordinate activities.
- Record information such as personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms and reports.
- Assign work to employees, based on material and worker requirements of specific jobs.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose and inspect systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Work scheduled hours including overtime and weekends. Respond to and work when requested by management.
- Arrive on time and leave at the end of the shift.
- Follow safety rules and notify supervision or others when a safety hazard is observed.
