Key Responsibilities
- Advising on all areas of Employee Benefits, including ERISA compliance and the design, establishment, maintenance, and operation of retirement, welfare, and fringe benefit plans.
- Assisting clients with compliance under federal and state employee benefits laws and regulations.
- Providing strategic counsel on employee benefits issues during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Drafting plan documents, policies, and procedures to meet legal and operational requirements.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-10 years practicing Employee Benefits law.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of ERISA and other relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a client-focused environment.
- Qualifications: Licensed to practice law in New York, with a strong academic background.
