What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Law Attorney position at GPAC?
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Law Attorney with 3 years of experience to join our team in the Kansas City Metro Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and adoption. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, helping clients navigate some of the most important legal challenges in their lives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Represent clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, child support, adoption, spousal support, and prenuptial agreements.
- Manage family law cases from start to finish, including filing petitions, preparing for hearings, and handling trial preparation.
- Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding their family law rights and options.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients in mediation and court proceedings.
- Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, custody agreements, and settlement agreements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
- Stay up to date on changes in family law and relevant case law.
- Participate in the preparation and trial of family law cases, ensuring effective representation and advocacy.
