What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Law Attorney position at KSI?
We have a client looking for an Attorney with 5 or more years of experience to join their growing Family Law practice in Kansas City, MO (KCMO).
The ideal candidate will proactively manage family law cases from beginning to end, providing superior customer service to clients and making improvement recommendations to practice managers. They must be able to hit the ground running and be able to take the lead in trials, hearings, mediation, depositions, etc. Must have experience in managing their own caseload with staff and management support.
Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and licensed in Missouri and Kansas.
Duties:
• Manage family law cases from initiation through resolution.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, including regular status reports and case reviews.
• Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to practice managers.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff on case strategy and execution.
