Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial operations, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage hedge accounting strategies and market-to-market activities related to grain trading and pricing.
- Provide senior leadership with actionable financial insights that align with company goals.
- Collaborate with various business units to enhance profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee financial reporting to ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Monitor key financial metrics and business KPIs, driving informed decision-making across departments.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of growth, development, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to relevant tax, auditing, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred).
- At least 5 years of finance management experience, with 3 years specializing in hedge accounting or market-to-market within the grain or agriculture industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience, including team leadership and development.
- Strong understanding of hedge accounting and risk management techniques specific to agricultural commodities.
- Experience in managing financial operations for large, fast-growing businesses, ideally a billion-dollar organization.
- Advanced financial analysis skills, with a strong ability to interpret data and guide decision-making.
- Proficient in ERP systems, financial modeling tools, and Microsoft Excel (experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
