Metropolitan Companies is looking for a Finance Manager to join our team! The Finance Manager will be responsible for monthly finance and accounting activities such as reviewing journal entries, month end variance analysis, business analytics, and account reconciliations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the monthly accounting close including journal entry review and analytical review of the Income Statement.
- Oversee & effectively manage A/R, A/P, payroll ledgers, credit/collections, and cash flow
- Perform financial planning and analysis for financial forecasts, budget development and reporting, and budget control.
- Review Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Develop clear and concise financial statements and presentation of materials.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- Review accounting and financial operations policies/procedures, systems & controls, data integrity, efficiency & effectiveness improvements with manager and provide recommendations for changes.
- Lead, mentor, and ensure engagement of direct reports while working to establish short-and long-term goals and objectives while making sure reporting deadlines are met
- Collaborate with process owners to evaluate business requirements, analyze transactions, and propose accounting treatment based on customer contracts.
- Present recommendations to immediate manager, including senior leadership when needed.
- Provide research, analysis and insight into financial trends, statistical ratios, variance, budgeting and forecasting.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as requested.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- High proficiency in WORD, EXCEL and Outlook. VBA and financial modeling skills are a huge plus.
- 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting role.
- Large corporate experience.
Preferred:
- 10 years' experience in finance or accounting.
- Previous experience managing a team.
