Responsibilities
- Represent insurance carriers in civil litigation matters, including pre-trial motions, discovery, depositions, and trial proceedings.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective legal strategies.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Manage a diverse caseload while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Indiana State Bar.
- 2-10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Indiana civil procedure and evidence rules.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
