Job Title: Foreclosure Attorney

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to join our legal team. This role will primarily focus on representing banks and mortgage servicers in foreclosure matters, including mortgage default litigation, loss mitigation, and title resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of foreclosure processes, possess exceptional legal acumen, and be able to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent banks and mortgage servicers in foreclosure proceedings, including judicial foreclosures, bankruptcy-related cases, and loss mitigation efforts.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials to advocate for clients' interests.
- Provide legal guidance to clients on foreclosure laws, compliance requirements, and litigation strategies.
- Analyze title issues, resolve curative matters, and ensure clear title for conveyance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, opposing counsel, and court officials to efficiently progress cases through the foreclosure process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and jurisdictional changes impacting foreclosure and default litigation.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws governing mortgage servicing and foreclosure practices.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Indiana State Bar. Additional licensure in multiple states (e.g., Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, or Illinois) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in foreclosure, creditors’ rights, or mortgage default litigation.
- In-depth knowledge of foreclosure laws, regulations, and procedures in Indiana and other licensed states.
- Exceptional legal writing, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in case management systems, document preparation software, and industry-specific tools.
