Key Responsibilities :
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising healthcare providers, organizations, and businesses on a broad range of regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters, including :
Regulatory Compliance & Strategy : Advising clients on federal and state healthcare regulations , including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and corporate practice of medicine doctrines.
Healthcare Transactions : Structuring and negotiating purchase / sale agreements , joint ventures, and affiliations between healthcare entities.
Licensing & Certification : Assisting clients with state and federal licensure requirements , certification matters, and professional entity structuring.
HIPAA & Data Privacy : Counseling clients on HIPAA, HITECH, and state patient privacy and security laws , including compliance programs and breach response strategies.
Medicare, Medicaid & Private Payor Audits : Representing providers in third-party payor audits, investigations, and reimbursement disputes involving Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial insurers.
Investigations & Enforcement : Defending healthcare entities in government investigations, enforcement actions, and recovery audits by governmental payors.
Crisis Response & Risk Management : Providing strategic counsel on compliance, risk mitigation, and crisis management for healthcare providers, health tech companies, and digital health platforms .
- Active law licenses in both New York and Washington, D.C.
- Significant healthcare regulatory experience with a demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters independently.
- Established portable book of business with a strong client base in the healthcare industry.
- Proven success in business entity formations, corporate structuring, and compliance programs .
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a client-centric approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented and entrepreneurial firm environment .
