The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of projects from estimation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. The Project Manager/Estimator will also work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication projects.
- Calculate material, labor, and equipment requirements to develop competitive bids.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes and pricing for materials and services.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of multiple structural steel projects simultaneously.
- Develop detailed project schedules, ensuring timelines and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, fabrication, installation) to ensure smooth project flow.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing questions, providing updates, and resolving issues.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Ensure all projects meet or exceed industry standards for safety and quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment on job sites.
- Maintain accurate records of project milestones, change orders, and communications.
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in project management or estimating in the structural steel fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
