Heavy Civil Project Manager
Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to oversee our projects in heavy civil home and subdivision development, transportation (highways, roadways, bridges), and utilities (underground piping, water, gas, electric). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, ensuring quality, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Schedule and balance manpower, equipment, and job tasks.
- Act as the primary contact for project owners, conducting pre-work and weekly meetings.
- Collaborate with superintendents and foremen to develop comprehensive work plans.
- Supervise project engineers, oversee submittals, and build project schedules.
- Price change orders and approve pay estimates.
- Manage force account work in partnership with superintendents and foremen.
- Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, including locating and pricing subcontracts.
- Ensure quality assurance through effective oversight of site management.
- Collaborate closely with company owners and estimators on bid estimates.
- Participate in hiring processes for superintendents, foremen, and skilled laborers.
- Promote and enforce job-site safety protocols directed by superintendents and foremen.
