The Staff Recruiter will have an understanding of the heavy civil construction industry, be skilled in sourcing and identifying top talent, and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with universities, candidates, and management alike. As a Staff Recruiter, you will be responsible for attracting, evaluating, and selecting qualified candidates collaboration with the hiring manager to fill various positions within our company. Your primary focus will be on recruiting skilled professionals for heavy civil construction projects, including project engineers, project managers, superintendents, estimators, and other relevant professional positions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and attract top talent in the heavy civil construction industry.
- Screen and interview candidates to evaluate their qualifications, skills, and fit for our clients' needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates.
- Work with human resources to finalize job offers with candidates.
- Manage the full recruiting life cycle, from initial outreach to onboarding.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth recruitment process and effective candidate selection.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continually improve recruitment strategies
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and techniques to attract top talent for heavy civil construction projects.
- Source, screen, and evaluate candidates through various channels, such as online job portals, social media platforms, professional networks, and industry events.
- Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, skills, and cultural fit.
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates by attending industry events, job fairs, and maintaining relationships with industry professionals.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect position requirements.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools to manage candidate pipelines, track applications, and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct reference checks and background verifications on selected candidates to ensure their suitability for employment.
- Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, keeping candidates informed, addressing inquiries, and delivering timely feedback.
- Collaborate with the HR team to negotiate and finalize job offers, including compensation packages and employment terms.
- Stay updated on industry trends, labor market conditions, and recruitment best practices to ensure a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining talent.
