Job Title: Maintenance Superintendent
Are you looking for a company that provides a family-oriented culture and operates with integrity, innovation, and quality? Gpac is working with a family-owned food processor seeking a skilled Maintenance Superintendent for one of their Northcentral Iowa facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reduce downtime, increase efficiencies, and direct all aspects of department operation including repairs and maintenance.
- Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the protein industry, with an emphasis on planning, scheduling, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Plans and directs the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Supervises work through site inspection, review of reports, and communication with vendors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or knowledge/relevant experience equivalent to such degree preferred.
- Must have experience in Industrial maintenance in a food manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Thorough knowledge of world-class maintenance management systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
- High level of organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Word Processing software.
- Advanced technical skills in the mechanical/electrical fields (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.).
