The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiduciary law, with expertise in representing clients in disputes involving trusts, estates, probate, and other fiduciary matters. This role involves both litigation and advisory work, helping clients navigate complex legal issues related to fiduciary duties and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in fiduciary litigation, including disputes involving trustees, executors, guardians, and beneficiaries
- Advise clients on fiduciary obligations, estate planning, and trust administration
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances as needed
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to develop and execute litigation strategies
- Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in VA
- 2 years of trust & estates/fiduciary litigation experience
- In-depth knowledge of fiduciary duties, probate, trusts, and estate law
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases and clients simultaneously
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients
- Experience with estate planning and administration
- Mediation and arbitration experience
- Strong interpersonal skills for building client relationships
