Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, from initial consultation through trial, if necessary.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and options under Louisiana Workers' Compensation laws.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Attend hearings and mediations on behalf of clients.
- Maintain case files and documentation in accordance with firm standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest changes and trends in workers' compensation law.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Louisiana.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Workers' Compensation law.
- Strong knowledge of Louisiana Workers' Compensation statutes and case law.
