We’re currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Rochester team! This person will support the Rochester division while collaborating with our larger GPC HR team—and will also be a key member of our Division Senior Leadership Team.

What You'll Do:
No two days are exactly alike, but here's a snapshot of how you'll make an impact:
- Support recruitment efforts, including prescreening candidates and scheduling interviews.
- Help drive engagement through wellness and employee recognition programs.
- Support managers with employee relations, coaching conversations, and corrective actions
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and company policies—and help others understand them, too
- Represent GPC in community and networking events, including SHRM and Chamber activities.
- Plan and execute appreciation events and help keep our culture strong.
- Collaborate with the broader HR team to share ideas, align on best practices, and support one another in moving the work forward.
- Be a champion for our values and an advocate for our employees.
- Participate in the Safety Committee and support a safety focus for employees.
- Assists the VP of HR with employee communication, policy updates, and other company initiatives.
- Preserve confidentiality of employee information and records.
- Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding efforts, helping capture feedback and ensure a smooth transition.
- Assist with tracking leaves of absence, ensuring compliance, and communication with team members.
- Support performance review processes and goal tracking to encourage employee development and accountability.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to employees and supervisors on HR-related topics, helping resolve concerns and build trust.
- Maintain employee files and documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements.
- Help lead internal training sessions or coordinate external training opportunities for employees and supervisors.
- Monitor trends, metrics, and feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HR programs and employee experience.
What does it take to be the Human Resources Generalist?
- A minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources is required, along with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management—or equivalent HR experience.
- SHRM-CP preferred.
- Previous experience with HRIS/Payroll systems preferred (Paylocity, ADP, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
- Discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information with care
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
