What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Controller position at GPD Optoelectronics?
The Controller is responsible for developing the organization’s overall financial policies. The position is responsible for providing strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax.
This full-time, exempt role will be located in Salem, NH and will report to the CEO.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implementation and administration of business management systems, as pertains to Accounting, (Visual) ERP and related activities.
- General ledger, journal entries and financial reporting responsibilities.
- Responsible for financial metrics, cost accounting, reporting P&L, and supporting operations in establishing proper burden/overhead rates.
- Payroll, Accounts Payable/receivables, cash & investment management
- Forecasting of expenses/revenues/cash flow in conjunction with strategic planning
- Oversight of Insurance, and Compliance registrations (eg: DDTC registration)
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Expert understanding of GAAP
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Expertise in administration of finances, standard reports, and accounting within a manufacturing business.
- Ability to work with a team to manage a dynamic, growing company.
- Knowledge of government contracts & familiarity with export regulations (including ITAR)
- Knowledge of HR sufficient to support managing third party providers of insurance, benefits, and onboarding activities related to payroll and HR/personnel data.
- Ability to provide support and successful implementation of Infor VISUAL ERP as relates to ensuring data entry, reporting, and proper execution of business transactions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Extensive experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably with direct experience in semiconductor manufacture.
- BS Degree in Finance/Accounting with a secondary education degree in accounting or related field is required.
- MBA is desired.
- Experience with government contracts and export regulations is also highly desirable.
- CPA is desired

- Travel may be required
