Job Summary
The Solution Architect/Senior Java Consultant leads the conceptualization of detailed solutions and manages professional services to deliver solutions to clients. This individual works with systems integration partners to represent the company on partner-led teams and plays a key role in pursuing and winning large deals. The ideal candidate has broad business and technology expertise, along with a background in professional services and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leads a team of business analysts and developers to implement effective solutions using the company's product suite.
2. Manages projects to achieve on-time, on-budget, and on-quality goals in an Agile project environment.
3. Serves as a principal client advocate and liaison.
4. Develops deployment integration architecture and execution plans.
5. Develops and maintains technical knowledge and leads software demonstrations to clients.
6. Assists in providing ideas for product enhancements based on client feedback.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 6 years of experience in solution architecture, design and estimation, and project management.
2. Bachelor's Degree.
3. Experience leading teams of 2-5 developers.
4. Background in professional services consulting for software or systems integration firms.
5. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
6. Technology experience must include Java and J2EE in an app server environment.
7. Technology exposure should include architecture development, ESB, Web services, Flex/HTML 5, hosted/cloud solutions, and Security solutions.
8. Experience with ETL technologies, various databases, and big data, such as SAP BOBJ, BI, and/or HANA.
9. Design of real-time and near real-time applications preferred.
10. Willingness to travel to project sites in North America.
11. Preferred industry background includes Utility, Logistics, Oil and Gas industries, and Federal Sector.
