Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team for a government client in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis, finance, and reporting.
Duties
- Conduct financial analysis, reconciliations and error corrections for the client
- Create and verify obligations and accruals
- Run and analyze Financial and Business Management System (FBMS) reporting at the detailed level for all transactions and customers
- Coordinate with client's customers on analyses of charges, as needed, to effect collection of funds.
- Review and correct any errors in financial transactions in the client's financial system
Skills
- Knowledge using various government financial reporting systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel abilities
- Proficient in financial software applications for analysis and reporting.
- Strong quantitative research skills with an ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent financial report writing skills, capable of communicating findings clearly.
- Solid understanding of financial planning processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with corporate accounting standards and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all deliverables.
- Preferred experience working in finance for a government entity.
