What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Maintenance position at GPI Real Estate Management?
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Maintenance Technician in performing general repairs and upkeep of the property, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents in a timely manner.
- Assist in completing preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders and completed tasks.
- Ensure that maintenance supplies are stocked and organized.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with safety standards and property policies.
- Help with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of common areas.
- Work on special maintenance projects as needed.
- Be part of the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field is a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
