Overview of the Role
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the credit union’s compensation & retirement, benefits, performance management, evaluation and development programs as well as the credit union’s overall organizational development. Through the management of other HR personnel, the HR Manager is also responsible for oversight in other areas of the department, including employee onboarding, recruitment, statutory leaves, engagement and general HR functions.
Requirements
Human Resources Manager Responsibilities
- Administer GPO’s compensation policy and ensure compensation remains competitive and relevant.
- Oversee GPO's retirement plans to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor GPO’s organizational development by analyzing and forecasting growth. Research industry trends and suggest additional positions appropriate to our asset size.
- Analyze staff surveys for trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Review, recommend, and oversee administration of the credit union’s overall benefits and compensation program.
- Oversee the new hire orientation and onboarding program to ensure an exceptional employee experience.
- Administer the credit union’s evaluation and development program by approving warning notices and assisting managers with delivery, aiding managers with the creation of improvement plans, involving training personnel as needed for performance issues and ensuring evaluations are completed as necessary throughout the year.
- Approve termination situations and assist managers with delivery. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
- Complete other duties as assigned in order to support the credit union.

Human Resources Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred or Associates degree with an HR certification.
- Determined and motivated individual with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a team setting as well as take on projects as an individual.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- One year of HR management experience or three to five years of HR generalist experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Actual compensation rate will be determined based on relevant experience.
Salary : $66,505 - $83,131
