Job Summary:
The Account Resolution Manager is responsible for overseeing the collections department, ensuring efficient and effective collection processes. This position involves managing the team, developing and implementing strategies to reduce outstanding receivables, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Job Goals:
- Reduce the accounts receivable days outstanding.
- Increase the overall collection rate and reduce the number of delinquent accounts.
- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections team through continuous process improvements and automation.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the collections team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates and reduce the number of days outstanding
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment arrangements with clients
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Customer Service, to resolve billing disputes and improve overall customer satisfaction
- Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities and performance to senior management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure prompt payment and address any issues that may arise
- Continuously assess and improve collection processes and systems for increased efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections or credit management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong understanding of collection processes, credit management, and relevant legal regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations with clients professionally
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
