Overview:
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is responsible for leading and executing HR strategies that align with the company’s mission and business objectives. The CHRO will serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, ensuring that people initiatives effectively support business growth while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing strategic guidance on people-related initiatives that influence business success.
- Executive Partnership: Collaborate with senior leaders to drive HR strategies, covering recruitment, retention, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws.
- People & Culture: Develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement, foster inclusion, and promote a high-performing workplace culture.
- Organizational Development: Align people, processes, structure, and culture to optimize performance and achieve business objectives.
- Performance Management: Establish frameworks that align individual and corporate goal-setting, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
- HR Analytics: Leverage data-driven insights to inform business decisions, optimize HR processes, and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Talent Management: Oversee talent strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing and high-potential employees, ensuring leadership development and succession planning.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop and maintain HR policies that align with business needs while ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Total Rewards: Design and manage compensation, benefits, and wellness programs that support employee well-being and business objectives.
- Financial Stewardship: Oversee HR budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and financial planning.
- Leadership Development: Mentor and develop HR leaders, fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous learning within the department.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive HR role.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of financial and operational strategy.
- Expertise in change management and organizational transformation.
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence.
- Hands-on, strategic leader with strong collaboration and influence skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with experience engaging across all levels of an organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications (SPHR, CPTD, SHRM-SCP).
- HR leadership experience within a mid-to-large-size company.
- Manufacturing industry experience is highly desirable.
- Experience presenting to and collaborating with a Board of Directors.
