Materials Manager

Wellmatics Materials Manager – Houston, TX

JOB SUMMARY:

The Materials Manager will be responsible for overseeing Wellmatics inventory in Houston, Midland and satellite third party locations. This position will be accountable for the location and accounting of all inventory parts (approximately 800 SKU's) and with work closely with purchasing and production to execute demand plans that fulfill customer orders, replenish stock and accurately account for all transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Inventory Tracking. Monitoring stock levels across all products using inventory management software to identify low stock and potential shortages.

2. Warehouse management. Managing warehouse operations including storage layout, stock rotation, and ensuring proper labeling and organization. Direct flow of in/out-bound materials to ensure efficient and accurate receipt and proper placement in storage locations.

3. Maintain accurate inventory records, reconcile discrepancies and report inventory levels to the management.

4. Analysis and Reporting. Analyzing inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Perform daily reconciliation of discrepancies and report inventory levels.

5. Collaborate with purchasing department to resolve any discrepancies in deliveries or orders.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:

a) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience:

a) Proven experience (typically 5 – 8 years) in supply chain management or related roles.

b) Three years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.

c) E&P, refining, chemical experience a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

a) Significant knowledge of inventory management, replenishment, warehouse operations, and MRP / ERP systems.

b) Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

c) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.

d) Supervise small staff of non-exempt employees.

e) Familiarity with safety and regulatory policies related to handling and receiving materials.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
