Summary:
The Media Coordinator facilitates targeted communications for GCI Media platforms in alignment with the communications strategy. Working in unison with the Communications Director and Denominational Leadership, the Media Coordinator leads the Media Team in maintaining alignment with the church’s vision and mission with the GCI audience in mind.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement media content to engage and inspire.
- Collaborate on high-quality content that reflects GCI’s mission and promotes Healthy Church.
- Manage and support the production of print and digital materials.
- Oversee content creation and distribution across multiple channels, ensuring brand alignment.
- Maintain and optimize the GCI website and online media platforms.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position supervises paid Media Department staff and contracted writers/content developers.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or 3 years of nonprofit communications experience).
- Understanding and affirmation of Incarnational Trinitarian Theology and a passion for GCI’s vision.
- Proven experience in digital content creation.
- Awareness of GCI’s international culture.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Preferred:
- Membership in a GCI church.
- 5 years of excellence in content creation or editing.
- Ordained elder in Grace Communion International.
- Completion of core classes on Incarnational Trinitarian Theology at Grace Communion Seminary.
