Communications Director
Grace Community Church of Boca Raton
Grace Community Church of Boca Raton, FL is seeking a dynamic, creatively inspired Communications Director to join our team. In this role you would incorporate feedback and direction from the Pastor and staff to design, develop, and manage all print, digital and social media content to support and facilitate strategies to support church growth and connection within the community. Design and manage the website, producing high quality content to engage with those seeking a church home, while serving as an information hub for current members. Work closely with the staff and church leaders to design and manage campus-wide and individual ministry event campaigns and promotions.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in Marketing or Communications, preferably within a church environment. Skilled in developing effective content to reach the desired audience. Must have excellent writing and editing skills, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Professing Christian with consistent devotional life
- Office administration skills include competence in Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign); ACS/Realm Technologies experience a plus
- Ability to creatively communicate big picture and individual ministry details consistently
- Friendly, approachable nature with ability to handle confidential and delicate situations
- Excellent organization and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Content development includes producing sermon series promotion, weekly service announcement video, presentation slides, and weekly e-newsletter
- Manage website content and development
- Create and manage social media content and delivery
- Oversee IT management and provide all internal IT support (computers, networking, internet/Wi-Fi, office machines, etc.)
- Provide direction to administrative assistant for weekly promotional material distribution
- Active participant and contributor in weekly staff meetings and church services and programs
- Assist the Program Staff with communication needs and consistency
- Continually evaluate office processes and procedures and recommend changes/revisions which could improve overall effectiveness and efficiency
- Assist the Pastor with special projects, as needed
