How You Will Serve at Grace :
Position Summary
Reporting to the Central Operations Pastor the Business Specialist will support the Accounts Receivable / Payable process and the daily functions of the Business Office. The person selected for this role will be responsible for oversight of the Business Offices budget reports system and reconciliation of monthly bank statements to ensure adequate reporting of monthly profit and loss of the Church. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, be detail oriented, have a willingness to learn, be able to work independently, as part of a team, and influence stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reconcile Grace Fellowship bank accounts monthly
- Process weekly offerings
- Process NSF checks and other offering changes
- Ensure ministry income is recorded in accounting software
- Prepare, review and approve expense reports
- Assist with congregant follow-up contribution questions and ensure appropriate resolution or escalation
- Assist in preparation and distribution of Year End Contribution Statements
- Manage all contractor and vendor reporting and compliance including W9 completion, annual 1099 filling and insurance certificate verification
- Be a key driver in the Churchs annual budgeting process
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Churchs budgeting software
- Assist in preparation of reports and other items for annual audit
